Project Challenge

Anne Frank Inspire Academy has a vision — to have 21st century schools that will become a model for learning around the world —  an environment that inspires passionate, personal responsibility for learning. The school had already worked towards this through its learning methodology and stunning modern architecture, but wanted the space and its surroundings to have an impact as well.

Design Approach

We had no shortage of inspiration with this project as it was important that we honor the Academy’s namesake, not only with a photo in the lobby, but quotes from her Diary in other areas. We fed off of her imagination, the imagination of all children, and exploration as we began brainstorming. In the lobby, the school’s tenets of Belong, Be Great & Find Joy had to be represented. Finding imagery for those was more challenging than we had imagined.

The Solution

We combined whimsical, childlike drawings with photography to create some fun, stunning graphics as well as some that were just plain fun! We helped to establish an elementary school environment that is one of the most unique we have ever seen. We want our kids to go to school here!
